Trompettiste, compositeur et arrangeur, il obtient un premier prix de jazz et un premier prix de trompette classique
au Conservatoire National de Lyon.
Il a ses propres projets, "Hervé Salamone Wilhelm Coppey Duo", "Hervé Salamone Quartet" et
"Hervé Salamone Nonet" et son album "Suite" avec lequel il a été lauréat dans la catégorie compositeur
au Made in New York Jazz Festival en 2017 !!!
Il a participé à de nombreux projets et concerts en tant que soliste et trompette principale.
Toutes ces expériences lui ont permis de travailler, d'accompagner et de jouer avec de grands artistes comme
Quincy Jones, Dee Dee Bridgwater, Eddie Daniels, Bob Mintzer, Liz McComb, Stefano Bollani,
Charles Aznavour, Zaz, Thomas Dutronc, Ivan Lins, The Temptations, Four Tops...
Il joue actuellement avec le "Big Band de l'Oeuf" (Orchestre Energetique à Usage Fréquent), et a joué avec le Bigre
du Grolektif et The Amazing Keystone Big Band. Il a également joué avec l'Orchestre Régional de Jazz Rhône-Alpes,
avec le Big Band Jeunes Musiciens de Lyon dirigé par Martial Solal, puis Laurent Cugny,
également avec le GR Jazz Orchestra (Lausanne) et le big band 433.
Sa rencontre en 1998 avec le percussionniste cubain Isel Rasua, lui a permis de se former à plusieurs reprises
à La Havane et d'intégrer son groupe Tempo Forté. Il a joué dans divers groupes de salsa : "Orquesta Tentacion",
"La Nueva Banda". Depuis 2001, il est la trompette principale du projet musical de David Bursztein
"life is not a picnic", et a participé à plusieurs tournées (France, Russie, Chine...).
Il a été trompette principale dans de nombreuses opérettes, Brass band, orchestres symphoniques et notamment lors de "West Side Story" et "Singing In The Rain" avec l'Orchestre National de Lyon.
Il se produit en concert dans de nombreux pays (Europe, Asie, Caraïbes, Afrique...).
Il a enregistré plusieurs albums avec divers groupes et artistes et a participé en tant que soliste à la musique
du film d'animation "Mia et le Migou" (2008).
Enseignant au pôle de musique-études de l'INSA Lyon, au département jazz de l'école de Saint-Fons (France/Rhône), il a été professeur de trompette et de jazz à l'école "Jazz Action Valence", au Centre d'Etudes Jazz et Musiques Actuelles de Saint-Etienne, au CEFEDEM et au Conservatoire National de Lyon. Il fut pendant une saison, ''Artiste invité'' au conservatoire de Montélimar, pour lequel il a composé de nombreuses pièces pour les élèves et professeurs. Il a très souvent des commandes pour différents orchestres (jazz, symphonique, pop...) et artistes en tant que compositeur et arrangeur.

He plays with the "Big Band Oeuf" (Energetic Orchestra Frequent Use), and played with the Bigre
of Grolektif and The Amazing Keystone Big Band. He also played with the Regional Jazz Orchestra Rhône-Alpes,
with the Big Band Young Musicians of Lyon led by Martial Solal, then Laurent Cugny,
also with the GR Jazz Orchestra (Lausanne) and the big band 433.
His meeting in 1998 with the Cuban percussionist Isel Rasua, allowed her to train in Havana several times and
integrate his group Tempo Forte. He played in various salsa bands: "Orquesta Tentacion", "La Nueva Banda".
Since 2001 he is the lead trumpet of the musical project of David Bursztein "life is not a picnic", and participated
in several tours (France, Russia, China ...).
He was the lead trumpet in many operettas, brass band, symphony orchestras and in particular with the Orchestra National of Lyon for "West Side Story" and "Singing In The Rain".

Teacher at the music studies at INSA Lyon, at the jazz department of the school of Saint-Fons (France/Rhône), he was also a professor of trumpet and jazz at the jazz school "Jazz Action Valence", also in Jazz Studies Center and Contemporary Music in Saint-Etienne, at the CEFEDEM and at the National Conservatory of Lyon too. He was for one season, "guest artist" at the conservatory of Montélimar, so that he composed many pieces. He very often has some orders for different orchestras (jazz, symphonic, pop...) and artists as a composer and arranger.
